Anker has released its next iteration in the Mars family of portable projectors—the 1080p Nebula Mars 3—with numerous improvements over the 720p Nebula Mars II and Nebula Mars II Pro.
Like the previous Mars projectors, the Mars 3 is a portable single-chip DLP projector with an LED light source. It's rated for fewer light source hours—25,000 vs 30,000—but at 1,000 ANSI lumens, the Mars 3 has double the rated light output of the Mars II Pro in its brightest mode. In its Eco, the 185Wh built-in power bank allows for up to five hours of viewing on a charge, although it also lowers the brightness to 300 lumens.
It includes features to make it easy to bring along with you and quickly setup, including a built-in handle and stand, an IPX3 water resistance rating, and lens cover that doubles as an adjustable foot to raise the front of the projector. Its automatic image adjustment that Anker dubs Intelligent Environment Adaptation senses the screen surface, adjusts the screen size to fit, applies keystone correction, and automatically focuses the image. There are controls on the top of the handle to access menus, as well as an included remote and support for the Nebula Connect app available through both the Apple Store and Google Play.

Content can be streamed from the included Android TV 11 operating system, which has access to over 7,000 apps, via a Chromecast connection, or with the HDMI port. There are also USB-C and USB-A ports to connect a drive or charge a device from the projector's power bank, and a 3.5mm audio out to connect an external speaker of headphones. The built-in speakers can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker.
