BenQ LH730 NPA slider

BenQ has released a medium-brightness, LED-driven 1080p projector to tackle commercial or education applications, particularly those fleet situations where ongoing unit-to-unit color accuracy/image consistency, and low maintenance, are desirable attributes.

The 4,000-ANSI lumen LH730 is a single-chip DLP projector that uses a 4LED light source offering 98% of the Rec.709 color space, and can get up to 30,000 hours of life in Eco mode (or 20,000 hours in normal) with no need of lamp replacement or filter changes. Because of the single-chip architecture, there's no possibility of convergence issues, and text is said to be delivered sharp thanks in part to an all-glass, low-dispersion lens array with a special coating that minimizes chromatic aberration. There are also multiple picture modes—Infographic, Presentation, and Spreadsheet—designed specifically for displaying business material.

The BenQ LH730 is designed for flexibility of placement, be it in a conference room or used in other commercial environments. The projected image can be adjusted with an auto vertical keystone correction, 2D keystone correction, or corner fit—all of which allow you to make sure the image is properly squared up. The LH730 has a 1.2x optical zoom and a throw ratio of 1.3-1.56:1 allowing it to display a 100-inch image from 9.5 to 11.4 feet. If the 1.2x optical zoom isn't enough, there's also the ability to digitally shrink or shift the image. Setup distance can be determined with ProjectorCentral's LH730 Projector Throw Distance Calculator.

BenQ DMS Local is a DMS app for Windows that allows you to remotely control any compatible BenQ projector on your local network and can also be integrated with the DMS Cloud. The projector can also be managed via Crestron, AMX, of other control systems with PJLink. Wireless casting from mobile devices is supported with an optional WiFi dongle.

There are two HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 that are compatible with 4K, HDR, and HLG signals. In addition, there's a LAN port, two USB-A (one for an optional wireless dongle and one for service, RS-232, and a 3.5mm audio out.

The LH730 measure 5.19 x 16.54 x 11.29 inches (HWD) and weighs 11.7 lbs. It is available now for $1,299.
