Thanks to Roland Pro AV, I learned that in order to send 1080p over the 3G-SDI connection to this projector, it needs to be Level A, rather than Level B.

I've really been looking forward to getting my pair of these projectors out on shows, but I'm having difficulty getting them to work with either a Black Magic ATEM or a Roland V1-SDI Switchers which have always worked fine with my Epson Pro Z answers Pro L series projectors. Epson tech support hasn't been very helpful. Their default position is to blame the other manufacturer's equipment. After going in quite a few circles, I came to find out my brand new projectors didn't come with the latest firmware, which was issued way back in December of last year. The firmware update did not solve the issue so I'm probably going to try getting my money back. Do your research before purchasing any of these new projectors from Epson. I think I know what the P U stands for.
