Ease of Use, Great bright picture
Review by Gary Akridge

I had an infocus projector in my media room, that my European Wife calls the Movico, since 2004. 720p picture, worked great, until it started turning itself off after years and years of use (18 years and many bulb changes). It was time for a replacement... With all the expensive bulb changes, and now 4k signals prevalent, it was time to jump in with an updated projector. I was initially looking at more expensive models, as I paid almost $7k for my Infocus projector 18 years ago, and thought that would be the range I needed... but decided to try this JVC at half the price. The image at 3000 lumens is bright and incredible... It is hooked into a high end Yamaha Surround Sound receiver and connected to Control4 where my wife can easily control everything with a button push. My source all comes through a new 4k AppleTV, where she can easily switch from all the streaming services, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+ and GoogleTV for Television. The screen drops, the JVC Laser Projector lights up, the AppleTV, can easily navigate via voice... Ease of Use is a big need for the wonderful female in my life, and this is an ideal setup. No need to ever hit the JVC Remote, as it is tucked away in a drawer... We live by the Control4 Remote, and sometimes the AppleTV Remote to navigate sources verbally. Excellent, bright picture for half the price of my previous projector... I am hoping it lasts as long!
